The PC software is a component of IceSpy System5. A typical System5 comprises of a number of SCOUTs (each with one internal temperature sensor) and SCOUTPLUS units (each with one internal temperature sensor and provision for a second external sensor), one or more BASE or BASEPLUS units and PC with special PC application software. Optional ECHO repeater units and external sensors are also available, as well as BRIDGE units for use with the Mini-system

The special IceSpy System5 PC Software is a set of five independent applications, linked by a common database which together provide complete control over accessing and control of data collected from IceSpy Sensors. All access to the database is via the easy-to-use IceSpy System5 applications.

Although the suite of applications contains a host of features for advanced users it maintains this easy interface for less experienced personnel or for those that simply require a straightforward data recording system.
System5 PC Software is available in three licensed versions:

Compact Software License

This is the standard, single-user software package that will be shipped with each system. The Compact software includes the SQL database and must be installed on the IceSpy Server. This is licence free software with free upgrades for first year. Use this software with the Mini-system and a single PC multi-channel System5. There is an additional annual license charge for unlimited upgrades from web site after one year if required. Compact version also includes a 30 day trial of the multi-user version of the software.

Multi-User (Network) Software License

Where more than one user and more than one PC is utilised in a system then a network software package is required. This is as the Compact software package with additional features such as user-defined calculation functions and detailed audit trail. One of the PCs in the Network must be the IceSpy Server (this is the PC holding all the data). Any PC meeting the minimum specification can be used as the IceSpy Server. All other PCs are IceSpy Clients and view the data held on the IceSpy Server. Licenses are available in blocks of 5 seats. Free upgrades for first year, with additional annual license charge for unlimited upgrades from web site in the future if required.

Additional security features that enable compliance with 21CFR. User features are as the Multi-User software license with additional data security. The SQL database setup is different to the standard software and therefore the installation is different. Free upgrades for first year, with additional annual license charge for unlimited upgrades from web site in the future if required.

The Xtra Secure version of the software has a higher degree of control over authorised access and is suitable for incorporation into a validated system conforming to 21CFR part 11. Features unique to this version are marked in the specifications
