IceSpy RL

The RL system is the original IceSpy wireless recording system. Many of the functions and components of RL have been improved with System5, but RL systems and components are well proven and are still available.

RL System Componants

The RLSystem has, since 2004, been superceeded by the newer, more feature-rich IceSpy System5. Due to the success of RL however, there are many hundreds of systems still in use. Isatec Ltd can offer complete support for RL, including battery changing, sensor repair, calibration, spares and also complete system servicing.

Upgrading to System5

If you already have an RL system, there is no need to replace the entire system in order to use the new features of System5.

It is possible to upgrade an older RL system to take advantage of the better reporting and alarm options of System5. The older collection units are replaced by Hybrid Base or BasePlus units which are capable of communicating with the existing transmitters, probes and repeater units. All of the advantages of the System5 software can then be accessed.

Advantages of upgrading to the Hybrid system are as follows:

  • An automated system which continuously downloads data to a PC - no need to manually download data files.
  • A greatly improved software interface.
  • Records can be saved to PDF, Excel, CSV, HTML
  • More flexible alarm options (multiple recipients, repeat alarms, power-cut alarms, loss of data alarms, alarm scheduling)
  • Real-time monitoring of data from your PC
  • Multiple users can view data simultaneously over the network.
  • Data from all units viewable on one screen.
  • Option of 'Extra Secure' software, aiding 21-CFR compliance.
